Boosting rights

What are boosting rights?

Boosting rights let a brand pay to amplify a creator’s existing organic post as a paid ad, without taking over the creator’s ad account the way whitelisting does.

What do boosting rights mean in influencer marketing?

Boosting is simpler and lower-risk for the creator than whitelisting — the brand pays to extend reach on a post that already exists, rather than gaining direct access to run new, brand-directed ads from the creator’s handle.

What should creators watch out for with boosting rights?

  • Confirm which specific post is covered — boosting rights should name the post, not grant open-ended permission to boost anything.
  • Set a boosting duration and, ideally, a spend cap so the post isn’t promoted indefinitely.
  • Charge for boosting rights separately from the original content fee.
